EVANSVILLE PHYSICAL THERAPY FOR PRENATAL, POSTNATAL, AND MORE
In-Home Physical Therapy
Physical therapy during pregnancy and postpartum isn't just about managing pain. It's about preparing your body for birth, supporting your recovery, and helping you move with confidence through every stage of mamahood. Whether you're dealing with pelvic pain, back discomfort, pelvic floor dysfunction, or postpartum recovery, we'll create a personalized treatment plan that fits into your real life.

Be cared for, mama.
As an obstetric & pelvic floor physical therapist who has worked in both the hospital with mama's 24-48 post-delivery and outpatient settings with pregnancy and postpartum goals to function optimally and feel good, I would love to support you in your journey.
Nurturing Mama services are made to be easily accessible for all mamas by delivering sessions conveniently to the comfort of your own home. By design, NM appointments are easy for mamas who cannot find a babysitter (though sessions are a bit more scattered), new mamas who do not want to get their newborn out and about, mamas who want to learn how to do activities in their own environment and those who desire accountability and personalized support.

The Fourth Trimester
The fourth trimester is a sacred time for bonding and healing. But too often, we're told to bounce back immediately—pack up the baby, fit into pre-pregnancy clothes, run errands, make dinner, clean the house, get back to work. Returning to normal life too soon can lead to complications and make physical discomfort worse. We need time to recover. We need villages that support that recovery.

According to the American College of Gynecology, the 12 weeks after giving birth are critical for a mother's long-term health. They also recognize this is when mothers have the least interaction with their healthcare team but need it the most. While guidelines recommend mothers be seen within the first three weeks after delivery, most OBs and midwives are overbooked and can't get you in until 6-12 weeks postpartum.

In-home physical therapy can bridge that gap. We provide the care and education you deserve in your own home without the stress of childcare or getting your newborn out the door. We'll assess your home setup, teach you how to get in and out of bed safely, improve your feeding and nursing positioning, and show you proper body mechanics for carrying baby. We'll also check any wounds and monitor your vital signs after movement, which is completely different from resting in a hospital bed. If you have a history of preeclampsia, postpartum hemorrhage, cardiac issues, or hypertension, monitoring these is imperative—and we can help guide you if there's a concern.

I want to be cared for and feel well and strong in my body.
